Your Story, God’s Glory is a unique one day women’s event designed to help women find and tell their story.
Through engaging biblical teaching, practical exercises, and ample time for sharing, women gain a deeper understanding of the significance of every moment of their life and acquire tools that will help them uncover where God has been at work — in the big, the small, the extraordinary, the mundane — and grow in their desire to join Him there!
The story of the Samaritan woman at the well is the spine that ties all four of the day’s sessions together, but each are unique as they intentionally build one upon another, moving participants from remembering their story to learning to recognize God in their story, wrestling their way toward understanding, and ultimately to revealing God’s grace and truth to others.

Although drawing from the book Your Story Matters by Leslie Leyland Fields (a book about sharing life stories specifically through writing), Your Story, God’s Glory is about more than just writing! It’s about using words to draw near to the Living Word Himself. This is not a writing workshop. This is for anyone who wants to grow in confidence to share God’s goodness from their own life with others…whether that’s in the form of a written story or simply a conversation over coffee.
Meet Lindsey and Erin
Lindsey is a writer and homeschool mom of three. She has a passion for theology, poetry, ditch flowers, small wonders, and paying attention to the presence of God in ordinary life. Lindsey has been a Story Leader with the Leslie Leyland Fields Memoir Masterclass community since 2021, and loves helping others discover the deeper meaning of their own stories. Lindsey and Erin have been encouraging one another in finding, living, and writing the truth of their lives for years and cannot wait to share what they have been learning to equip and encourage you too!
Erin is the wife of a naval chaplain and homeschool mom of four who makes her home in the Halifax area. She serves as Lead Writer at Well Christian Woman and on the planning team at Encounters with Jesus. In her free time, you’ll find her enjoying nature walks, studying Hebrew, reading really old books, and trying every new sourdough recipe she can find. From the page to the platform to the piano to a podcast, she shares her passion for Jesus any way she can, because she has seen Him turn the biggest messes into blessings as she has learned to follow Him one shaky step of faith at a time.

What We Provide

What You Provide
- venue and audiovisual support on event day
- on-location team to handle publicity, registration, set-up/tear down, decorating, refreshments*
- any extras you may want to include for registrants (e.g. notebooks, name tags, door prizes)
- worship leader/team**
- transportation costs and accommodation for speakers
- honourarium of your choice
*Ideally, refreshments would include a morning and afternoon break as well as lunch.
**A reflective style of worship (two 15 minute sets) works best for this event.
